Training

Our Programs

Training Program

At the Soccer Club of East Africa (SCEA) Development, 12 – 16-year old’s train for four days weekly (Tuesdays to Fridays) while their 6 – 11-year peers train for on the weekend (Saturdays and Sundays) with internal small-sided games played on Mondays.

We play in organized friendly games, tournaments, and league games over the weekend with either a day or two off in resting and recovery.

We have centered our training on meeting the needs of the youngsters, those who have prior soccer knowledge and skills from playing street soccer, and those with no skills at all by introducing them to elementary soccer drills and training.

Our focus at the club is concentrated on developing the wholesome soccer brain so that the techniques in the youngsters’ feet match their overall comprehension of the world’s most popular game. We continue honing the five basic skills every soccer athlete must have globally, for example, passing, controlling, dribbling, shooting, crossing, and heading the ball.

We go on to introduce youngsters to advanced practices as they mature up. These include practices of combination play, movement, and flexibility, positioning and formations, and systems of soccer play.

While doing all these, we also introduce them to rules of fair play, globally accepted soccer rules, regulations, and standards.

Our intention is to develop young soccer hopefuls into elites and or top-quality adult performers. In case a youngster fails to make it to our first team, they will be loaned out to another club as they continue to be sharpened.

All training sessions shall follow a sports and exercise science approach to achieve optimum outcomes in performance. Additionally, all sessions shall emphasize payment of attention to details and enhancement of an excellent personality or mentality.
